Short-term Parent/Caregiver Education & Collaborative Planning & Problem-Solving
Short-term Parent/Caregiver Education & Collaborative Planning & Problem-Solving services are appropriate for parents of adolescents, between 17 and 24 years of age with autism spectrum
disorder, who have a specific concern about their teen’s emotions and/or behavior. A problem-focused assessment pinpoints the factors that contribute to the concern, which leads to the development of a targeted intervention plan that uses evidence-based strategies in autism spectrum disorder (with/without mental health conditions). Education and training are provided to assist you in implementing the intervention plan at home. Typically 8-12 sessions are needed.
